Im so happy I was able to pop my factory headunit out of my tacoma and plug this in and then plug my ipod in.. Only complaint is the ipod plug doesn't clip in with releases seems like I have to force the 2 together and pull extremly hard to remove.. maybe it just need broken in.. But hey I like it and still able to use steering wheel controls :-)

When I bought this adapter my only desire was to be able to connect my I-Touch to my '07 Tacoma's sound system and use the steering wheel controls. (I have the standard factory radio) I read all of the reviews. Watched the "how to install" video and hoped I made the right choice.
I did. It took about 20 minutes to install but if I did it again I could do it in 10. My I-Touch fired up immediately. I did not have to changes the dip switch settings as some reviewers have. It is not draining my battery. It does works perfectly. One review said that it would show up on the display as CD #6. Mine is CD #7 so I can still load 6 CDs if I wanted to.

This adapter is built well, and is a breeze to install. I haven't used the iPod connection only the RCA inputs. Quality is good although audio level is pretty low. Not a deal breaker just something to know up front; overall I'm very happy with the device.
