The lights are nice and bright and I love the multiple settings. I got these because they spread the light better. We use them on camping trips and they hang great from the tent attic. My husband uses them for low lighting at night when he's up later then me. He hangs them from metal surfaces like the bathroom light fixtures. Nice product. We seem to get pretty long battery life using rechargeable eneloops.

B003NURHZ0: (Joby Gorillatorch Flare Adjustable and Flexible Tripod Flashlight In addition to the fact that this flashlight does about everything short of the dinner dishes, I am going to have a lot of fun using it. However, you don't mind if I cross my fingers and pray that I don't end up needing to use it during a tornado (which we have had in the northwest Chicago area,) and a hurricane, which we were touched by this summer, to say nothing of those ugly storms we get annually, which cause Comm Edison lots of headaches. Not that it can't handle working under such conditions. The manufacturer says it is waterproof.
My next project: finding something, maybe a living room floor-lamp, to wrap those tripod legs around, in a place where the resident cat, Cotton Balz, won't be able to get to it. And I say, Meow to you.
